Cooking
Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies as it is directly shareable with the folks around you. Though it can be a little intimidating to get started, a few tools and a bit of heat is really all you need to get going.
In this section you will not only find a few of my more recent favorite recipes, but also the tools I use on a day to day basis.
Knives:
A solid knife and cutting board covers probably 75% of what you are going to need to get started. That to say, it is a great place to start. However, there are all sorts of knives ranging from a few dollars to a couple hundred. That might leave you to ask, where do I start?
Well if you ask me “do you need a $100 dollar knife, and do you need 20 of them?” The answer is no. There is plenty of time to grow into preferences in terms of size, metal, and form. For the time being, get a chef knife, and a pairing knife, and the largest cutting board your counter can accommodate. Here are a few suggestions for blades.
