All of the attempts so far, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

As a general note, this page is named after wine, but it holds all the fermentation projects. Wine, Mead and Ginger Beer alike.

Blackberry Mead

Blackberries and honey. This one is still aging, but based on samples we have high hopes.

Blueberry Wine

Blueberries and sugar. This one is still aging, but based on samples we have concerns, it started sweet and then turned peppery.

Cranberry Mead

Cranberries and honey. This one is still aging, but based on samples we have very high hopes.

Date Wine

Failed | Still Aging?

Dates and sugar. We are pretty sure this was a failed experiment. We are letting it age longer in hopes it mellows.

Dragon Fruit Mead

Dragon fruits and honey. This one is still aging, but based on samples we have very high hopes.

Ginger Beer

Good | Objectively Correct

This was the first attempt at ginger beer. It was good, but I think I like fever tree better.

Lemon Mead

Lemon and honey. This one is still aging, but based on samples we have very low hopes. I didn’t think about it at the time, but every cleaner ever that is lemon flavored smells like lemon and alcohol. Which is a perfect description of this so far.

Melter's Honey Mead

Just Melter’s honey. This one is still aging, but based on samples we have hope.

Mixed Berry Wine

Amazing | Loved By All

Blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. This was a hit all the way around. We actually had folks request we make more.

Mocktail Wine

Failed | Still Aging?

This was an attempt to ferment “mouse juice”. That said we learned you don’t put mint in primary. You just get all the bitter from the mint.

Orange Mead

Good | Objectively Correct

Orange and honey. This turned out good, but the orange peel was a bit floral for our taste.

Peach Wine

Unknown | Still Aging

Peach and sugar. Unknown so far, based on samples we think it might be a little bland.

Pear Wine

Amazing | Loved By All

This was like drinking a pear syrup that got you tipsy. It was great.

Pineapple Mead

Pineapple and honey. Unknown but based on samples we are hopeful.

Raspberry Wine

Good | Objectively Correct

This was just a simple raspberry wine. It was a solid first attempt, but could have used more flavor.

Strawberry Wine

This was just a simple strawberry wine. It was a solid first attempt, but could have used more flavor.

Traditional Mead

Just honey in this one. Based on samples, we think it is on the right track.
