The Drone Collection
Though I wish I could buy pretty much every drone on the market, that quickly gets into the range of “new car money”. Listed below is the short list of drones that I have picked up, either used, new, or ones I have built myself.
In addition, I have added a few of the pieces of gear that more often then not, land in the adventure bag before I head out.
DJI Mini 2 Pro
Bought Used
This was my first drone, I managed to get a gently used DJI mini 2 second hand. I quickly learned what I could do with it, and what I could not. It’s 4K camera is great for shooting video, but I constantly found myself wanting better photo capability and longer range.
Skywardtel Case Mini 2
Owned
This has become my Mini 2’s house for both storage and when I take it hiking. Its small enough to where I can slip it in this case, wedge the case in my bag and not think too much about it.
DJI Air 3
Bought New
This was my second drone and largely funded by a garage sale I had. I started with a mini 2 pro, but quickly found myself wanting more range, better photo capability, and more low light performance. All that paired with more up to date software has made my Air 3 both my favorite and my daily driver.
Anbee Air 3 Case

The Anbee cases are great for something a little smaller that you can slip into a back page. The bigger cases that carry everything are great, but do not always make the best use of space. Being able to protect everything individually make space management a little easier.

Senskdn Air 3 Propeller Holder

This is actually the second propeller holder I have bought for the Air 3. Truth be told I like this one a little better, the elastic that hold the front props in is a bit more gentle which has a little less risk of bending the props.
Startrc Air 3 Case
Owned
The Startrc Air 3 case is great for carrying everything at once. If you are going out to take photos and are not going for a hike, this is a great way to put everything into a car. However if you are going hiking you may consider something a little smaller.
