Horse Shoe Bay Nature Park
We were pretty underwhelmed by this one. We were looking for a bit of a walk to stretch our legs photograph all the pollinators we could find. We did not fine either.
Truth be told this is more of a “city park” then it is anything else. It’s a groomed gravel trail that has quite a few cut outs with plaques, man made habitats, and benches. If you were looking for a short trail with a few “nice” wild animals for kids, this would work well. If you are looking for a hike, this isn’t it.
Wife and I went during the summer of 23, which was very hot and very dry. Most plants were dead, however we found about 5 purple flowers, and a very sad bumble bee bouncing between then looking for nectar.
