The Last Samurai

Traditional.

  • 1.25 oz Asbach Uralt Brandy

  • 0.75 oz Ippongi Hot Plum Sake

  • 0.25 oz honey rich simple syrup (2:1 honey to water)

  • 1-2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

  • 3-5 Dashes Scrappy’s Cardamom Bitters

  • 1 lemon peel (garnish)

A little less exotic.

  • 1.25 oz Asbach Uralt Brandy

  • 0.75 oz Ippongi Hot Plum Sake

  • 0.25 oz honey rich simple syrup (2:1 honey to water)

  • 1-2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

  • 1 lemon peel (garnish)

Assembly

  1. Add brandy, sake, honey syrup and bitters to a shaker with ice.

  2. Shake until ice forms on the shaker.

  3. Strain over an ice brick into cocktail glass.

  4. Garnish with lemon.
