Whiskey Sour

A little more Orange.

  • 3 oz Maker’s Mark 46

  • 0.5 oz simple syrup (1:1 sugar to water)

  • 3 drops Woodford Reserve orange bitters

  • 1 oz lemon juice (concentrate won’t work here)

  • 1 egg white

  • 1 lemon peel (garnish)

  • 2 Woodford Reserve bourbon cherries (garnish)

  • 2 dashes Free Brothers Lemon Bitters

  • 1 oz lemon juice (concentrate won’t work here)

  • 1 egg white

  • 1 lemon peel (garnish)

  • 2 Woodford Reserve bourbon cherries (garnish)

Assembly

  1. Add the whiskey, simple syrup, bitters, lemon juice, and egg white to a shaker and shake. This should be a dry shake meaning no ice.

  2. Add ice to the shaker and stir the cocktail for about 30 rotations to chill and dilute.

  3. Strain and pour over a clear ice brick. Express a lemon peel and garnish with lemon twist and cherries.
